"December 19th, 2012, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield will launch aboard a Soyuz spacecraft to reach the International Space Station". He will be there for 5 months doing experiments, operating the Canadarm2 and will "oversee operations as 1st Canadian Commander of the ISS as of March 2013".The Canadian Space Agency was established in 1989 and has four main programs: Earth Observation, Space Science and Exploration, Satellite Communications, and Space Awareness and Learning.
